Hello, I'm an engineer at Johns Hopkins, and I'm graduating next year with about a 2.9 gpa give or take 0.1. I plan to apply to grad schools for a masters in the field of biomedical engineering. What are my chances for getting into a grad school ranked 50th in the country, namely, the umdnj (University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey)? I know its an awful gpa, but i feel like im not aiming that high. I've yet to take the GRE.

bumpppppppp

You need to sit down with your faculty advisor, and ask for his/her candid opinion about graduate school. He/she has worked with many students over the years, and will be able to suggest good options for you.

thanks, I am planning to talk to my advisor, but I just wanted to know the chances of getting in. has anyone with a 2.9 ever gotten in a grad school ranked around 50th?
