Grad School admission

I am graduating from college this fall with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Business. I plan on applying to grad schools by next fall. My overall graduating GPA will be just AT a 3.0 no matter what I do. The GPA for my major in will be lower than that.

I am considering applying to MBA programs with a concentration in Marketing in: Miami, Atlanta and Los Angeles, California.

What schools do you think I will be competitive at if any?

If you’ve got a poor GPA, I would recommend trying to work for a few years. It will

  1. Give you the opportunity to show that your low GPA does not reflect your ability to work hard.
  2. It will help you make 100% sure that a MBA is what you want to do with your life.

Without your GMAT/GRE it’s impossible to say.

You should talk to someone in your college’s business school…

I agree that it is better to work some before you get an MBA.
Then, you have to figure out how to fund it.
And you have to find out which MBA schools are worth it.
