I don’t think that’s quite right @momofboiler1. At Purdue distinction is awarded to the top 10% of each school then the top 3/10 of those with a distinction across all schools get highest distinction. So it’s top 3% on average but more in some schools than others. See GPA Standards - Commencement - Purdue University

We just went to D18’s graduation last week. SCL is top 1%, requires a minimum 3.99+ in most schools, 4.0 in some: Honors at Graduation - Office of the Registrar - The University of Utah

That makes more sense! Regardless, there is zero chance that highest distinction will apply to my D ; ).
