Does anyone on here feel that their school practices massive grade inflation? After looking at the last President's/Dean's Lists, I''m convinced my does.

At my college, it depends on the class. My school is notoriously hard in terms of workload and average class difficulty, but I’ve taken several classes where good grades were basically handed out for free. On the flip side, I’ve taken many, many classes where trying your absolute best still results in failure, so…yeah.

It’s not just your school, it seems every school bar a small number of schools such as Princeton, Purdue, and Reed are doing it. It’s the same thing at the high school level, where you can see several schools that have over half of their student body on the honor roll.

It’s so annoying, because it makes it look like I go to an easy school and don’t have to work hard for my grades.

I remember seeing a scale of college grade inflation. Community colleges have the least, while private schools tend to have the most.

It’s pretty typical at American colleges and universities.
