Grade Trend

So someone else posted a very similar thread a few weeks ago, but the chancers on this forum turned his post into just another "chance me" thread. SOOO let's try this again:

Hi! I was wondering how much Vanderbilt takes into account grade trend. My personal grade trend goes something along the lines of:

4.0 (frosh), 4.3 (soph), 4.67 (junior), 4.87 (sr) (each individual year's gpa, not cumulative)
-as of the beginning year, my gpa was around 4.32-4.33.
-my class rank trend probably goes somewhere along the lines of: 120/420, 60/425, 38/430. My gpa now would probably put me around 20/430, but it, of course, would be higher if you don't take frosh/soph into account.

SO, i'm not asking for a CHANCE-esque response (that's no "reaches" or "matches," dudes) but rather i'm posing a question: is this an acceptable grade trend for vandy? will they even look at grade trend at all?

thanks guys :]

how in the world does a 4.0 only put you 120th… sounds like mad inflation

probably weighted gpa out of 5?

hey thanks for answering my question.

I think they certainly look at grade trend, and yours is more than acceptable. The more pressing question is, how much do they consider grade trend versus cumulative gpa or other factors? I’m not sure on that point, however a trend like that will definitely look positive.
