when applying to top universities (ivies, UCs, MIT, Stanford, etc), is being in the top 10% of a school with over 20 APs, ranked in the top 300 nation, taking one of the most AP's in your graduating class make you very acceptable to ivies/UCs/other tops?

Not necessarily these days. Colleges are looking are well-rounded students, not just academic students. Quality extracurriculars, work experience, awards, leadership, etc. all increase a student's appeal to colleges.

that's not what i meant. i have high-quality(in my opinion) extracurricular activities and leadership positions as well. what i mean is whether what I said above is what is "expected" academically by ivies.

Ivies simply expect you to excel, regardless of your environment (competitive/non-competitive, 20 AP's/0 AP's, etc.).
