Hey,

So I wanted to open up the floor especially to those who have gotten into a combined program: Which was more influential in your admission to an accelerated program? SAT/ACT scores or GPA/Class rank?

Probably GPA/Class Rank just like it is more important for regular college admissions. Although everyone will have decent (at least 2100) test scores, and for the best programs (Rice/Baylor, HPME, PLME), scores tend to be 2280+.

How’s a 2200+ with a very high gpa/top 1% rank? Do you think chances are good for bs/md at, for the sake of discussion, pennstate or howard?

Penn State or Howard? I would say yes, you’d certainly have a decent shot.

do these programs superscore SATs?

I would say class rank, but only if weighted, and i only say this because it shows what classes you are taking, which is the most important.

Grades…

any idea what the order of importance would be for an international?
