Grading Scale for UCs?

So it's my first quarter at UC Davis as a transfer student. Since CCCs only had solid letter grades (90 and 110 were both just an A), I'm curious as to what the UCs have for their grading scale. What percent equals an A? A-? etc.

For example, of the grades I can see online, I have:
in Linguistics: 92.44 A-
in French: 96.44 A

So, does anyone know if the cutoff for an A is 93 or 94?

it should be listed on the syllabus, but for most classes an A is 93+

Well I know I got a 82% in a class here (UCSD) over the summer and received an A. So I guess it depends on the professor…

theres never a standard…

Honestly, I think if its a difficult class, most UC professors would probably curve. They all have their own grading scale from what I’ve heard.

Everyone has their own grading scale, one of my CC teachers has the same assembly programming class at Davis and ARC. His grading scale required 40% to pass with a C and you had to have 64% to pass with an B with the A cutoff being something like 82%. It was an extraordinarily difficult class so it still maintained a bell curve when final grades were published.
