Graduate school CHEM E, undergrad ME

I was wondering what kind of preperation would be required if I have undergraduate ME and wanted to go to graduate school in CHEM ENG? ALso, is it usually particularly harder to get admitted to a program if you have a different undergrad?

I spoke to a professor at my school, and she said that they have had quiet a few BS Chemistry students, and it usually takes them 1-2 semesters longer. They have to take 6 extra classes, including Thermo, Transport Phenomina and Reactor Engineering.

I am going to minor in Chem. What other course work do you think they would make me take? The professor I spoke to said if I was admitted, they would sit down and review my record, and determine what "deficiencies" I had. Also, what chem classes should I take? Inorganic, Physical etc. Thanks!

Don't forget separations. Depending on school, it may or may not be in transport. Usually separate course or part of mass transfer.

Most schools make you take ochem, which is quite useless since you really don't care about reaction mechanisms (only usefulness of ochem is nomenclature really).

I've heard of many schools accepting chemistry + economics undergraduates who are promising students to be chemE grads.

Only thing I can think of being "transferred" are the basic thermodynamics (not chemical thermodynamics), fluid mechanics, heat transfer. You will probably have to take an undergrad process class, it's one of the bread and butter of ChemE.
