Graduating Early from Undergrad

Right now I'm a sophomore at Boston University and I am very interested in law school.

I had a ton of AP credit from HS (40 BU credits...a semester here is 16 credits) so its very much a possibility for me to graduate a year early.

My question is - How would my chances for law school be affected by graduating early? Ideally I would start applying to law schools next fall (the fall of my third year). Just to give you some persepective, I'm looking at schools ranked around 10 - 20...I'm thinking Georgetown, Penn, UVA, GW.

Thanks.

It could potentially hurt a little, because schools are starting to look for more work experience and "maturity" in applicants.

It's also impossible to know what schools you should be looking at before you take the LSAT.

Boston University College of Arts and Sciences

Get your masters.

I haven't really got my heart set on any schools in particular...the few that I threw out were just rough estimates based on my current GPA and an estimate of my lsat based on my sats. I know that gives a very vague picture, but I'm just trying to figure out how much of a disadvantage graduating early is.

Have you pondered the options of Higher Ranked Law w/ 4 years or Lower Ranked Law School w/ 3? I'd be looking around for info on those options.

You really can't get an idea of your chances anywhere without an LSAT score or at least a diagnostic test. I would consider how the fourth year could affect your GPA (i.e. would you be free to take a bunch of electives to boost your GPA??) and plan accordingly.
