Graduating early

is it possible to graduate in three yrs from GT? I heard about it. if yes, how do they do it?

Sure. Come in with a semester or two of AP/IB/college credit. Stick with one major (don't change half-way through), be a bit focused on school work, etc.

One girl I know finished in 3.5 years, co-oped 3 terms with a technology company, studied abroad, in a sorority, worked part-time on campus, orchestra, intramurals, leadership honor society, etc.

Others have double-majored and finished in 4.

You can save a lot of money and starting earning big bucks by not taking four. Not a bad way to go...

Its possible*, but beyond financial reasons I don't think you'd want to. College is a great time, why rush through it?

*A few majors have 7 semester pre-requisite chains, so you'd either have to come in with AP credit or test out of class(es), etc. to finish in 3 years (assuming that by 3 years you mean 6 semesters).

everyone i know takes at least 4.5 years to graduate. i don't know anyone that has gotten out in 4 recently. years ago you could but now most kids either change majors or take 4 classes to keep up their gpa for hope. and some like college so much that they take their time! you won't have much fun doing it in 3 years.

Part of the "It takes longer" myth is that those people who take longer stick around and talk about it. The people who graduate early and on-time are too busy doing the work and don't feel the need to advertise their proficiency.
