<p>44% rate may not take into effect the number of 5 and 6 year programs UB has. Also, there are many students with tough majors that end up changing majors or repeating courses. Engineering can be tough for some. Son was friends with some engineering freshmen that ended up changing majors and 1 forced roommate in UB apt that was in his fifth year of UB engineering before he finally changed majors.</p>
<p>Realistically, unless you have a major with very few elective credits or switch majors to an entirely different discipline, you should be able to finish in 4 years.</p>
<p>Son was a double engineering major and finished on time. (If need be, take online courses at the CC’s or some 4 year SUNYs for gen eds.</p>
