I want to go to UVA (the University of Virginia) because… should i put the full name everytime or is UVA ok?

Imo, use full name on first usage with abbreviation in parentheses, use abbreviation on subsequent uses.

Using UVA throughout is probably fine but a bit less formal and I don't think a nod to tone hurts.

I agree with TheDad full name first , UVA after that--but you can skip the parentheses with first usage.

why should i trust u....... lol.. jk thx

btw: standard usage is a lower case 'a', but the school formalizes it with periods: U.Va.

i remember in the question it even says U.Va. ... so i am SURE its fine, besides do you think they are really that cruel as to care about abbreviations? .... i HIGHLY doubt it.

They probably won't mind at all. College essays aren't formal. Writing the whole name out every time might even make you seem a little pretentious.
