As the mother of one of the students who died by suicide on the campus of Caltech in the spring of 2009, I applaud the efforts of whoever was responsible for ensuring that Caltech students are receiving the mental and physical health care they deserve. Those who teach and govern must care about their students' emotional well-being. It is not paternalistic, but a basic human obligation we have to each other. We cannot continue to lose our young people to terrible diseases of the mind at the rate they are presenting in the population. Each life ended is a tragic loss on so many levels. Again, please accept my gratitude for the work you have done and I hope will continue to do with the Jed Foundation and the Clinton Foundation Health Mattersi Initiative.

I just saw a news saying MIT has “All Doors Open” activity for 6 students/professors who died in past 6 months

In fact, above is not a news, the activity happend on 9/29
