I was just wondering if a GRE score of 760 verbal and 700 quant is good enough for middle tier grad schools in US and canadian schools like McGill and U of T ?

This is for a masters in Elec engineering

You can never be too sure of scores , but yeah it should be OK for middle tier schools. Quant scores are more important for engineering majors though , if you think you could up your quant square it would definitely help (most engineers have a high quant).

Holy crap. 760 verbal? That's massive.

On the other hand 700 is pretty low for an engineer. Strange score. But no problem for those schools, your scores will definitely get your app past the trash bin.

lol..actly thts not my score, i run away from engineering after 3 yrs of undergrad, a friend of mine from india had emailed me about this info.. i am completely ignorant about grad school for engineering as i am more interested in biz schools and GMAT

ya she is a whiz in english, during SAT as well, she got a 750+ in verbal !! i will pass on this info to her..thnx !

Great verbal score, but I think the 700 in quantitative will hurt much more than the 760 in verbal will help. Less than 750 in quantitative might be enough to get an app tossed away.
