Hello! does anyone know what the admission criteria is for Greenhills in Ann Arbor, MI?
My son applied for 9th grade there, his 7th and 8th grade report cards are average, but he is a very bright child who is kind and empathetic, and this meets the school’s character profile. He interviewed extremely well and had a great visit, and his essay, application and recommendations were all very good. Just wondering if the grades will outweigh everything. He did not take the SSAT. Thanks!
I know nothing about the school, but I will make a general observation: in the absense of an SSAT score (which is optional at this school), grades will be given more weight than if there were both an SSAT score and grades to consider.
How “average” grades will affect his application depends on one’s definition of “average”, and the academic reputation of his current school.
