Hello

I have recently been removed from the waitlist pool of Grinnell College. I am already enrolled at Mount Holyoke College. Grinnell being ranked better in US News, I'm in a dilemma. Could someone guide me which college would be better? I want to double major in economics and international relations.

Thanks!

Veeeeeeethi!

US News rankings after all this time and of all things? :(

Pros:
[ul]
[]You’ll be there with Karan.
[]You’ll finally be in a school with guys
[/ul]

Cons:
[ul]
[]Waiting time including getting a new I-20 and/or visa.
[]Fees lost in security fees at MoHo.
[li]Possible initial harmless ostracization by other students for being a wait list admit :p[/li][/ul]

Seriously though from above, if you want boys, just go to Grinnell.

Lol is that the only pro? Getting to be with guys??? LOL
Which college according to your opinion is better? I haven’t started with the visa process anyway… So I think that should be fine :p

Dude! I already have my visa
Once you do get it, tell me if you got it for four years or five. Seriously though, you’ll get the same education at both places. So the only things that should really matter are what you’re most comfortable with.

This comfort level should be decided on the basis of a combination of factors such as professors, weather, boys, cost of living, academic advantages in the form of honors provided to you.

Also, can you PM me the group link? I’d like to be back for some time :)

I agree with Tizil7 on “you will get a good education anywhere…”
here is more comparison

Grinnell is coed, and some like that. But you will be fine anywhere. What is difference in cost?
Which town is preferable? Try to post in those college boards.

V, Grinnell would appear to be better than MHC (Maybe it is). But there is one thing you won’t get at Grinnell and that is the 5 Colleges Group. You get to take classes at Amherst and Hamilton!! I mean where would you get this at Grinnell?

Second thing, Grinnell is a very small town, with no major city around. In contrast, MHC is in the close vicinity of Boston, New York… And its Massachusetts.

Thank you for your suggestions!! :D

I will decide solely on the aid offer I get from Grinnell…
Since, that is my main priority right now…
