Im hoping to apply for Spring 2016/Fall 2016. In the ‘Columbia College vs. School of General Studies’ thread, @GSTourGuides Christina mentioned that "I also wanted to mention that as a GS student, you are not able to transfer to CC. " However, on the official Transfer-Within-Columbia Policy website, no such things were stated. http://bulletin.columbia.edu/general-studies/undergraduates/academic-policies/transfers-within-columbia/.
"Undergraduates enrolled in the School of General Studies, including Joint Program students, who are interested in transferring to another Columbia or affiliated undergraduate school (Columbia College, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), Barnard College, or List College/JTS) should not submit a transfer application to any of those schools without prior consultation with their GS advisors. Transfer applications from GS to Columbia College, SEAS, or the Joint Program with JTS will not be considered by those schools without a written endorsement from the GS Dean of Students. Endorsements are limited to those students in good standing who have sound academic reasons for seeking to transfer from GS. "
Can @GSTourGuides give statistics on the number of people who successfully transferred Within Columbia or other undergraduate schools and the number of people attempted to transfer?
Also any current GS students know someone who have successfully transferred to other CC/SEAS from GS??or to other undergraduate Ivy League?
