Tech students say that their Biology major is worse if you want to go to Medical school (because Tech is known as a 'academically difficult' school, the average GPA is kind of low, which Med schools look at) but better for everything else. (e.g. academics, which happens to be more important to me). Since I don't want to go to Med school, and because my family is closer to Atlanta than to Athens, and because, I'm assuming, Tech has better internship opportunities due to being in the city, would Tech be a better option for me? If someone is familiar with the Biology department at UGA, that would help alot. I'm looking for info of why UGA may be better for me from actual students, rather than just the schools website.

Thanks for your help.
