I'm w/ lopo - I hope to GOD I broke a 7. :(

Well, we'll all see in due time now won't we?

BTW, I doubt we did lopo :'(

how many questions can you afford to get wrong if your score is above 2100?

Depends on the curve eric

i know but how about in general?

My 2050 is with -4 in Math, -8 in Writing with an 8 Essay, and a -7 in CR.

what was your writing score ayele^

710 Math with a -4. 710 CR with a -7. 630 Writing with a -8 and and 8 essay.

OOooo - ayele, gives us hope for the CR part.

That was December 2007. I'm just worried that my CR might have gone down yesterday. I am pretty sure I got a perfect on Math or a -1, and I'm pretty confident about my essay and about 95% of my Writing...

In Jan a -4 Math (0 omit) was 720.

I think the May test for -4 will be 700 Math.

0 Math mistakes so far :)

The Jan. test was actually 710 with -4.. because once you get 4 wrong another point is taken off of your score.. I agree with you, though, that -4 will probably be a 700 on May's test though... but I hope not..

10 point variations are known (I got 670 W and some other guy with THE SAME raw score got a 680)

wow that sucks..

Well, I had two CR section a row. Maybe I'll get the +10 bonus? :D

I had three CR sections too.. they were a pain..not that they were that hard but I just would have preferred working on an experimental math section.

According to Murphy's law you not only won't get the +10 bonus but might actually get a -20 just because you even hoped for a +10. I hate Murphy.

Here is my test order:

Essay
Math
CR (exp.)
CR
Math
Writing
CR
Math
CR
Writing

I think...

@Flame...ugh Murphy can go to heck.

I think I had the same test order as Quicksandslowly. Those two consecutive CR sections were a pain.

Essay
Math (Exp.)
Math
Writing
CR
Math
CR
CR
Math
Writing

I think that was my order...

I think the bar for the 700 cutoff will be

RAW SCORE: (the maximums are 54M, 67CR, and 49+12 writing)
49.5 Math
59 CR

With a 10 essay, I would say you need writing raw score of 40 to ensure 700, but writing is a real findmuck, so I have no idea. A 8 essay + 43ish raw score may be the cutoff for 700 as well. I'm hoping that a 45 raw score + a 10 will be at least a 750, and I hope I got that.

Keep in mind that when CCers say 'math was really easy' that does not mean the AVERAGE score for math will be above average, so really all curve estimation is... well, inaccurate. We've all estimated that because X section was really hard, the curve will be generous, only to recieve a bad curve that plops us below the score we think we deserved.

Raise your hand if your going to go postal if the CR curve is ridiculously hard
