55 English

60 Computer Science

Correct for mine (#54), I am a Computer Science major, and also an Asian studies minor.

Guess the Machine Architecture class gave it away…I mean who else in their normal mind would take it, even if they were testing majors xD

Often, it is a course more advanced or rigorous than what someone taking a course for breadth or general interest would take that gives away the student’s major or intended major. Machine Architecture or a similarly named course is typically a course that only Computer Science majors would take.

Humanities and some social studies majors may be harder to guess, because they have fewer defined sequences of prerequisites. And some courses are so commonly taken by non-majors that they give little clue. For example, a hypothetical freshman schedule like this would not say much:

English Composition
Calculus
Introduction to Economics
Introduction to Psychology

Or this:

English Composition
Calculus
General Chemistry
Introduction to Economics

I’m a double major. English and Communications :)

Fourier Analysis
Algebraic Geometry
Topology
The Standard Model
General Relativity
Classical Electrodynamics

Those are my courses for the term

64: Physics and Math

Definitely physics, probably math as well.

Here’s mine:

Data Structures
Ruby on Rails
Digital Design
Managerial Economics
Introduction to Management
Probability

66

I’ll take a stab at it…Business Admin?

Here’s mine:

Microeconomics
Film Theory and History
Social Problems
Art History
Statistics
Introduction to Accounting

I’m actually comp sci / finance.

Mine should be pretty obvious, but I’ll take a stab at it. Keep in mind that my school is on trimesters, so we only take three (and sometimes four) classes per term.

Genetics
Organic Chemistry II
American Social History
Creative Nonfiction Workshop (if I get in)
TA: Energy Flow and Biological Systems
