you'll be fine, im taking 5 APs and 7 next year and my schools curricula is supposed to be like the best in the state or something idk

Ajisa, your schedule looks fine -- and Chris, yours looks good as well.

I would agree with the fact that 2 APs and 4 Honors would not be what I considered "rigorous," but then again, that can vary from school to school. For a person much more interested in social sciences, taking AP Stat at the same time one takes Honors Physics and Honors Pre-calc would probably pose a bit of a challenge.

And WantIvy, you are right to a point -- one should take a challenging course load which reflect the opportunities offered by one's school, but there is no NEED to take independent courses. Certainly taking classes at a local college may indicate the student enjoys learning, but as that becomes more and more common, the impact of a college transcript from a high school student will become increasingly diluted. I have friends who took 3 or 4 college courses and a ridiculous number of APs (and therefore lived and died by their GPA) who received zero Ivy admissions; others had a moderate number of APs but were truly well-rounded students, (even with SAT and GPA lower than mine) who got accepted into a whole slew of impressive universities.

Ajisa, enjoy your time in high school. Find a few activities you are passionate about and excel in them, but please do not live the next year and a half according to whatever you think will impressive the admissions officers.

You should do this-
Junior Year-
