Does GW have such a program? If so, when?

Last year there were two visit days first week in April for ED admits. And then 8 more visit days, during the second, third and fourth weeks of April for RD admits. The schedule ran from 9:45 am to 3:30 pm. Pre-Registration was required. This year's dates are not posted yet. But here is the link to the admitted student page, class of 2012. There is a discussion board and perhaps you could ask about the dates there.

Welcome Class of 2012 - gwired.gwu.edu/freshmen

There were no weekend visits or overnights as I recall. D was admitted in 2005 and is attending. She was pretty set on GW and since we had already visited, she did not attend the accepted student days. Best wishes to all aplicants. Hopefully in a few weeks you will be hearing good news.

Thanks, CelloMom! It's good to know there were several days, as we will be running around like headless chickens visiting colleges once we know where D is accepted!

There is something if you sign onto your MY GW, you will have the chance to attend one of several sessions in April, which includes a full day of various activities then there is something which i believe is for the entire weekend in June sometime. Best of luck!

More than likely the weekend to which is referred is one of the orientation sessions that GW runs for newly enrolled students (the orientation sessions are called Colonial Inauguration!). There are usually five sessions (2 1/2 days) looks like three sessions are scheduled in mid to late June and two in early July this year. Pre-registration is done online now before orientation and during each session students can meet with advisors, view housing options, get their pictures taken for ID's and attend various other workshops and generally become familiar with the school.
