GWU Business School?

Im applying for the class of 2021 to the Business School. I haven’t heard much about it even when visiting, and was wondering how competitive it is to get into! Here are my stats as of right now.

ACT: 30 C (28M, 30R, 34W, 28S)
GPA: 4.6 W/ 3.9 UW
Activities: Newspaper Writer, Student Government Member, XC, Track, NHS
Volunteering: Will graduate with around 300 Hours, Hospital Internship, Library Children’s Volunteer, 15 hours a marking period for NHS
Part-Time Job during the summer
Awards: 3rd place in county for business ethics competition, Honorary Award in state writing competition

What Im asking is does GW look like a good match for me, and is the business school worth the money? I love DC, is it easy to get internships for business students? Thanks!

bumpppp

I’m not exactly sure how competitive the school of business, as I was admitted to the Elliott School of International Affairs. However, based on your credentials I would say that you would have a pretty good chance of getting in.

As to whether or not GW is the school for you, only you can ultimately decide that. However, GW is known for being one of the best schools in the country for getting their students internships, regardless of what school you’re in within the university. I personally think that it’s worth the money just based on the connections that you’ll make at GW and the people you’ll meet. I would still recommend visiting the campus if you haven’t already, as well as possibly attending one of the information sessions (usually occur prior to campus tours), as this will really give you an idea of whether or not GW is the school for you.

Please feel free to message me if you have any more questions, and I’ll help you out with what I can. Good luck!

I can’t speak to the competitiveness of the undergrad program, but I can say that the MBA program is excellent. I would assume that the undergrad program would also be good, then. As far as internships, they are plentiful in D.C. as well as a wide variety. If you understand the value of internships and plan to take advantage of them, D.C. is an excellent place to do just that!

you should get probably get accepted bruh, GW is probably a match for you. whether or not you get money is another question.
