GWU ED1 2019- When is the right time to interview?

Hi! I am currently applying to GW ED1, have visited twice, and have started my application. When have past ED students interviewed and when is the best time to do so? Are they looking for a resume (I have one) or should I just wing it? I know the deadline is November 1st, and I'm planning on scheduling with my local admissions rep since we have already made contact.

Side note- do I submit my FAFSA and CSS with my application? I'm confused about the aid paperwork, with it being ED.

Thanks so much for the insight!

You may want to send these questions to the GW admissions office to get authoritative answers.

That’s true, but I was hoping to get answers mainly about the experience from students who have already interviewed. Thanks.

For interviews in general, not just GW, there are two processes. For some/most schools, you can schedule them at any time, my daughter did all of hers in the summer between junior and senior year for both RD and ED schools. Other schools schedule interviews only AFTER you have submitted your application - this seems to be the process for many Ivies. I have no idea which process GW follows, but it should be obvious on their website.

Some FA paperwork can only be submitted after Jan 1, after 2014 taxes are filed, but many schools require a preliminary submission based on prior year data. Check the school website for deadlines.

Thanks for the info! I emailed my rep, so I should know when she’s in town shortly. I believe that you can only interview AT GW during January, but in-state interviews are in the fall. Yes, the website listed the paperwork very clearly, thanks for letting me know or I wouldn’t have realized they were on the website!
