GWU Medical School?

<p>Hi parents,</p>

<p>I posted this on the Medical Schools board but got no response. I'm hoping that there is someone out there who can give me some insight on GW School of Medicine.</p>

<p>Does anyone know about GWU Med School? My college has an early assurance program with them and I would love to find out more information about the med school. I've looked at some websites but haven't been about to find out a lot (ranking, specialties, placement into residencies, etc.). Anything you know would be greatly appreciated!</p>

<p>I am a GWU undergrad and have lived in the area many years.</p>

<p>While I do not have the specific info you're seeking, I can tell you that a GWU medical degree is well regarded here. I also would recommend that you try to contact medical grads for their opinion. I know that GWU Hospital (a beautiful, new facility on 23rd St NW, just below Washington Circle and Penn. Ave) is a teaching hospital affiliated with GWU. A practice called the GWU Medical Faculty Associates is connected with the hospital. It might be worth your while to make some contacts there, rather than simply going thru admissions.</p>

<p>Since I'm in the area, I'll poke around to see if I can learn anything that would be of help to you. When I find something, I'll post it.</p>
