Gwu

Anyone know the link to the GWU application. I already filled out the common APp. Where do you indicate that you're applying to the 7 year program?? What is the additional essay topic?

<a href="http://gwired.gwu.edu/adm/apply/freshman.html%5B/url%5D">http://gwired.gwu.edu/adm/apply/freshman.html</a> has a link to the Special Programs Application (<a href="http://gwired.gwu.edu/adm/apply/apps_notice.html%5B/url%5D">http://gwired.gwu.edu/adm/apply/apps_notice.html</a>), but it looks like they haven't posted it yet.

i found it, but thx anyway. the app is online

anyone know if i fill this out and send the common app? or do i just fill this out? thx.

I'm doing the 7 year BA/MD program. I went online and I checked the box for it, and just filled out part 1 and part 2 and sent it in.

so i don't have to send anything in with the common app or any supplement except the one with the link?

On the GW app for the BA/MD, when they ask for your score on the writing section of the ACT, do you say what you got out of 12 or the cumulative writing/english score that is out of 36?

i put out of 12

anyone know if i need a recommendation from a teacher that comments on my writing ability cuz that is not specified on the common app. common app says it's only for the law program. so i was wondering do i need one?

what007, i dont have a teacher who comments on my writing ability so i hope not. It's too late for me to ask for another rec (plus it looks bad).

and are you checking the box for university honors? I'm checking it but I'm only answering the med essay

Two teacher recommendations: one in a major subject who can comment on the applicant's writing ability and one in a science subject.

that's what gwu's website says.

when u fill out the supplement for the common app it says

Seven-Year Integrated B.A./M.D., Integrated Engineering and Law, and Integrated Engineering and Medicine Program applicants must submit both a Teacher Recommendation and a Science Teacher Recommendation.

it only says a teacher commenting on writing for a jd degree.

i'm confused.

i used the common app so I guess they can't hold it against me (right?). Thanks for pointing it out.

yea, i checked out both websites. Looks like they made a big mistake. I think we should be good as long as we call them up and point it out. They can't change it now.

Is the deadline for this Jan 10, or Dec 10? For some reason i have it written down, from earlier research, that it's Dec 10 but where I'm looking at now says Jan 10. Can anyone clarify?

it's december 10 i think. unless u have a link that goes against that. did u submit an essay by a teacher that commented on your writing ability?

its december 10th. I called GWU to clarify this thing and the lady said that as long as you have the 2 recs (at least 1 science) then I should be okay. Although she didnt actually answer the question of why there were two different statements. Anyways, I have her name so I can hold her liable if they give me trouble.

what's the lady's name? cuz i don't want to submit a teacher commenting on my writing.

Also, is there an application fee? Been searching the website, but i can't find any info on this.

found it...it's $60, in case anyone else needs to know.

Current BA/MD (7 years) or BS/MD (8 years) students, Much appreciate if you could answer my questions:

If you want to take MCAT test and apply to other medical school (for example, Yale Medical School) when in your third year, will your program disqualify your special status to enter GW Medical School? I know MSU does. Thanks.
