No that would be so dumb.

Not like gym actually makes you healthy. -_-

No that would be so dumb.

Not like gym actually makes you healthy. -_-

Unless you try extremely hard but no one does.

^ Or the people that are healthy think that the gym requirements are a joke. Racquetball? Seriously?

Racquetball is fun, but Pickleball is more fun. :D

Wow, with a name like that it has to be legit.

Pickleball IS awesome.

Ping pong + Tennis = Greatest game ever invented

^ hahhaha!

Pickleball + Gym = The Meaning of Life.

Pickleball is amazing.

But yarnball isn’t so bad either.

Meditation = win.

I agree, actually. It sounds stupid, but so is taking a class that tests athleticism in an academic environment. If they’re going to make you take the class, they might as well grade it like a regular class so that it’s not an absolute joke.

Gym class is just the school’s way of saying “look, we have healthy kids.”

It’s not supposed to be serious.

^^^The only YarnBall I ever played was in Elementary and middle school where we would knock down pins with yarnballs on the other side of the gym, and the other team would try to knock down your pins… :o

we do get graded at my school, but they don’t calculate a gpa so it doesnt really matter

Jr./Sr. year is pass/fail, thankfully.

Freshman and sophomore years are just torture. -_-
Graded on a 1.5 mile run and if we can run 12 laps in about 35 minutes to avoid doing make-ups. Hooray.

Come to think of it, Junior/Senior PE isn’t that great either. Just the fact that it’s pass/fail.

I need to stop complaining about PE…one more week and I never have to do it again.

Edit: ultimate disc in sophomore PE was the best. And bowling. :D

I think Gym should be P/F, it’s not academic instruction (at least, not in most places), and it’s purpose is for your to be physically active. You either meet that level (P) or you don’t (F), I don’t see how you can be physically active in a gym class at the A, B, or C levels.

^Only problem is that to colleges it will kill your calculated GPA. Like for the NCAA at least, a P/F class counts as a 1.0 if passed.

Gym should not be graded like every other class. I hate gym but love school so this is not fair to people like me. I try hard in gym with the occasional faking of a warm up so if I am not athletic it could hurt my GPA while all the slackers in my school will get a 100 or something while I might get a really low grade.

There are so many posts complaining gym is hard… it’s like the opposite of Barbie .(OMG gym is hard vs OMG math is hard).

I would hate it if gym would be counted as a regular class, then that mean I would have failed it two years in a row! I can’t help that I use that class as a study period. Gym mats are sooo comfy.

um…gym isn’t a real class. /discussion

Never, ever, seen any one give a P a 1.0.
