<p>what do you guys think?</p>

<p>All applicants are required to answer question A and to choose either topic B or C. </p>

<p>A. Confidence without Attitude. Why do you think this principle is an essential part of our unique and distinctive Haas culture and subsequently significant to your professional path?</p>

<p>B. Pick a single adjective that describes you. Explain why.</p>

<p>C. At Haas we value our Defining Principles. As you reflect on the remaining 3 principles (Question the Status Quo, Students Always, Beyond Yourself) which one do you identify most with? Why?</p>

<p>C. I or III feel like they will be over done. harder to stand out in those areas maybe, but may be easy to go wrong if you go away from the crowd with B or C II. IDK, anyone else think this way when choosing what essay to pick? lol</p>

<p>Definitely take a week or so to mull it over. Brainstorm several ways to approach this task before starting. You have plenty of time.</p>

<p>Last year I was convinced I would choose a certain essay, but after a week or so a much better idea hit me.</p>

<p>Is this application only for sophomores currently attending UC?</p>

<p>Yes it’s only for current UCB students who are applying to Haas after having done a bunch of pre-requisite courses. Most of them are sophomores, but there are some exceptions.</p>

<p>Choose B. Because choosing that word shows something about yourself. And you already have A to talk about just how well you fit into Haas. </p>

<p>Haas isn’t about standing out. It’s about fitting in. (imho)</p>

<p>what’s some good advice on standing out/fitting in for the first essay? it’s hard to be creative for essay A (imo)</p>

<p>If you have < 3.5 GPA, write something creative</p>

<p>if you have > 3.7 GPA, write something safe</p>
