Halfway Done with Beast

Shogun:

Wonder what the punishment is for any cadet "misplacing" his/her weapon this summer. Bet it's not pretty.

Here's a link to an article outling how "weapons immersion" fits into the CBT experience at West Point. It tells how the CBT is being revamped to better prepare the cadets for their future combat leadership positions. I found it interesting that about 1200 soldiers from units outside of West Point are deployed to West Point to assist the corps for CBT.

Nothing like a "real" war to refocus the military. How many times have nations begun to fight a war with training and tactics (and sometimes equipment) that was only as current as the last war fought! England, France, the Soviet Union, and the US come to mind at the onset of WW2, as they tried to cope early on with 2nd World War situations on First World War tactics and equipment. I am so glad to see the Army is learning it's lessons quickly and adapting training to meet the new challenges.

So marines4me, how was 2nd detail? We are looking forward to hearing how you're doing.

Congratulations on slaying the Beast!
