Ive only taken 2 years of spanish, should i take a 3rd year???
I'm retaking the SAT I but i also realize that only 2 SATIIs isnt enough (and a 680 isnt pretty) so how should i schedule when i take my final SATs???

Can you list the likelyhood and chances of me getting into these schools?

Cornell (ED)
UChicago (brother goes there, is that considered by admissions?)
Wash in St Louis
Johns Hopkins
Bowdoin
Tufts
Emory
Reed
Dartmouth
Brandeis
McGill
UMD

Im interested in Psychology/neurology and english... does anyone suggest a school not on this list?
thank you!

Reed (match) is a quirky fit school (be sure to visit), academically as difficult as UChicago. Other somewhat similar schools are Carleton, Grinnell, Oberlin, Swarthmore. I think your team winning cross country regional championship is immaterial, but ARC is worthwhile, working for political campaigns is a plus if it was significant work, rising GPA is good, third year Spanish would be good.

Everyone works for Obama :), but if you were to major in pol sci, I would recommend putting it in an essay or something

Cornell (ED) - low reach (considering ED)
UChicago (brother goes there, is that considered by admissions?) - don't think so...but reach
Wash in St Louis - reach
Johns Hopkins - reach
Bowdoin - match(not familiar)
Tufts - reach/match(not familiar)
Emory - match
Reed - match(not familiar)
Dartmouth - reach
Brandeis - match (not familiar)
McGill - match (not familiar)
UMD - match

i think having a sibling at a college does boost your chances -- at least i remember colleges asking if i had siblings at their college when i applied last year

mcgill and umd are probably safeties for you. you'll almost certainly get into scholars. at umd. i think bowdoin is more of a high match than a match.

i'm with vossron, leave out the cross country team award
