hamilton college writing intensive

i loved hamilton and it’s my number one choice right now. everyone was so friendly and i liked the small liberal arts feel. i am not sure what i want to major in, but i’ve been looking into economics/stats/political science. i am a good writer, or so i’ve been told by multiple teachers, but i am not amazing. i guess what i mean is that it doesn’t come natural to me but i spend a lot of time on papers and work hard for the grades i get on them.
will i struggle at hamilton since they are a writing intensive school, or is it more so that the college help shape me into a stronger writer?

“or is it more so that the college will help shape me into a stronger writer?”

You have recognized the process quite clearly. Hamilton will take you from where you are as a writer and, with your own sincere – but not necessarily extraordinary efforts – make you a better one. They will not have any particular expectations of your entering writing ability beyond those of other colleges of their type.
