I was admitted to Hamilton w good aid and a spot on the basketball team and am really leaning towards the school. BUT, I’m worried about its location and feeling isolated and bored since there’s nothing there to do. Does anyone have any input on this? Also, any info you may have on Hamilton is helpful!
My daughter is there and loves it bc everyone typically stays on campus instead of scattering on weekends. They bring in concerts and comedians, etc. she is never bored. Everyone is very involved and the school is great about sending EC clubs to others schools to compete. They have an outing club that does lots of trips too! If there is an activity you want to do, Hamilton will help you do it. They support their students in everything…from starting new clubs, to sending busses to marches in big cities. if you are a doer this is a great place!
Brutalism, the Jitney to a suburban area, snow that is suitable for the adventurous, three glens (one with an amazing Norway spruce) and two valleys are some of Hamilton’s elements that may not all be immediately obvious, understood, or appreciated. Along with the school’s fascinating history of having been two colleges – widely known as a basic fact, but frequently under-regarded as being relevant to the current Hamilton – you will find a college that exists in a combination like no other. What you get out of the experience, however, will be largely up to you.
Clinton is out there. I have seen a few cows driving there. However, it seems to really foster a sense of community. Have you visited?
“I have seen a few cows driving there.”
Could you describe the cows? Did they harm you in any way?
If you are bored, shoot free throws.
