Can someone tell me how I can apply to get a hand-scored SAT? I couldn't find anything on collegeboard, but it's probably there. And how much does it cost? $50 or more?

Don't handscore until after June 2, when the online score reports come out.

does anyone know how common it is for the computers to score it wrong, and for that matter, is it worth it to pay for hand scoring?

It's not worth it ($50) and it "almost never happens". The problem with that phrase is that, although it may convince someone that it's not worth it, it doesn't begin to descirbe exactly how rare it is. Now I can't say "never", but saying that it does happen can tend to lead people to believe that it is more common than it really is. I wouldn't be supprised for there to be ZERO mistakes out of millions on an average test administration. In fact, when only 2 scores (out of MILLIONS) came out wrong a year ago, College Board launched a wide-scale investigation. The fact that they took these two scores so seriously seems to suggest that incorrect scoring almost never happens (as in, one in a million). So I'd say there is a .000001% chance that your test was graded incorrectly. In other words, it's not worth the $50.
