Happy New Year!!

So it’s January 1st, the new year. It’s the deadline that most of us have for finishing all of our apps…and for those admitted EA/ED, you guys are already accepted into college. It’s the year of NEW BEGINNINGS for the class of 2006. ok, that was cheesy. But anyway, in honor of finishing my apps and having everything now in God’s (or the adcom’s) hands, I have started an utterly pointless thread.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

Questions for all of you…

What is your new year’s resolution (not having to do with getting into college, of course)

What is your favorite kind of cheese?

Do you have senioritis? If you answered “yes,” how serious is your case?

What did you do after you put your last app in the mail, if anything?

Is CC a big help when it comes to answering all of your College Questions, or does it end up just stressing you out?

I have several resolutions. One is to get a boyfriend, another is to get all buff-tacular for my trip to Cancun in march, and anohter is to have a really happy year :)

I dont really like cheese, but i can stand american. and cheddar. and brie.

yes. not very, stage 1.

I have yet to do that. I have yet to write my last essays :/ but when i do submit my apps, i plan on doing a victory dance and then vegging.

Ive divided my apps into batches. batch one will be complete on tuesday, im celebrating that by watching scrubs and getting a hair cut.

very big help. THANKS GUYS. I <3 YOU!

get into college

swiss

yes....11th grade math and science were A+s. 12th grade math and science are C+ and C- respectively right now.

started my calc homework.

option b: stresses me out even more

:) Go to LA fitness at LEAST every other day. Ideally, everyday.

American, sadly. Swiss is fine too though.

Only slightly. I had more senioritus my sophomore year than I'll ever have this year.

Last app? It's still not done yet!

It helps, but blah, it also distracts!

ripcurl, if youre taking physics, i understand the grades bud. trust me, i understand.

and syneria, i'm with you with # 1 & 3

None.

What is your favorite kind of cheese? mozarella

Yes. Quite serious. I have 2 C's right now. Im an A/B student.

Nothing really.

Not so sure if its helpful with college ?'s, but its good for meeting people from your college before fall

rachel: physics (11th) to ap physics c (12th).

Spend more time w/ my girlfriend, keep training to get ready for baseball season (yes!), a few others, but that's the most of it.

Cheese? Yes. Favorite cheese? No. Answer: Anything and everything.

Yes. The problem is that I'm good at what I've been doing. Ex. 90% and 110% in a class both get you an A. Tests are worth 50%, quizzes 25%, classwork/hw 25%...so I get an A in tests and quizzes and do half (or less...) of my hw, I still get an A. Yeah, hw/studying/etc. is a thing of the past...until college.

No apps in the mail; all online. After I pushed submit, I went to bed.

Much more help than harm. I like to spend way to much time thinking about things that are out of my control, so this is as good a place as any to do that lol. UC admissions posted Mar 15...Mar 15!!! New new years resolution: make it to March 15!

Happy New Year everyone and best of luck w/ admissions!!!!!

None. I'm too lazy.

Depends on what it's with.

Yes; chronic

Got ready to go out for New Years.

Neither.

To have the best senior year ever!

??? i really dont like cheese

You have no idea.....the curse of early action success!!!

That was a long time ago, and i didnt kno it would be my last app until 12/15...

Big help

Gain some weight.

A tie between mozarella and american

I've had senioritis since September 2002. I haven't handed in an economics homework all quarter. I stopped doing physics homework because my teacher doesn't check. I think I'm missing at least four or five labs. I do all of my homework when I get to school--my bus is usually half an hour early, so it's usually plenty of time.

I'm not done yet hahaha.

CC is the ****. I love it. Sooo helpful.

yeah, physics ap for me too lol. i had an a last quarter. this quarter, our test average was a 50 and i got a 60. so i guess i have a 60%.

^^^niiiceeeee. i have a 60% test average too. only thing keeping me a c is my homework grade....a+

What is your new year’s resolution (not having to do with getting into college, of course)
Lots I think: spend less time on CC, be a nicer person (no slandering!), eat healthier, stop procrastinating for tests/assingments

What is your favorite kind of cheese?
Haha. Random? I'd say...marble? I really like cheese strings.

Do you have senioritis? If you answered "yes," how serious is your case?
Yes. I've had it since september. Mild-severe, though I have no guidelines to go by. Senioritis = feeling miserable every time any assignment is due, and extreme procrastination.

What did you do after you put your last app in the mail, if anything?
Watched Hannibal. Not that Hannibal is significant - I think my parents were watching it at the time.

Is CC a big help when it comes to answering all of your College Questions, or does it end up just stressing you out?
It's not a big help, but it's entertaining. Much too entertaining.

so I guess I should answer my own questions :)

Appreciate my family, home, and friends for the next eight months before I leave them...sob

Brie, or sharp cheddar...

Yes, severe. I also had a little bit of sophomore and junioritis as well.

Amazingly, it wasn't very monumental. I said "YAY" and then started thinking about other things.

When I see people posting "chances" who have amazing stats, it stresses me out. but I have gotten some valuable info from the site!
