Happy

The students at Midd seem very happy, and not too stressed out. They work hard but it seems not overwhelming to them.

They seem to get along and be happy, really like their professors, etc.

Did I get that right? Is the Midd mood different from other elite LACs?

or did i get it wrong? ;)

You're right that many students at Middlebury are happy and love their school, but the same could be said about most top LACs. Freshmen retention and graduation rates usually tell you something about the level of student satisfaction, and most of the top LACs have high retention and grad rates.

Middlebury students are outgoing, sociable, friendly, and, in general, outdoorsy. There are hippies, preps, bookworms, poets, partiers, goths, jocks, and every other type of individual you might come across in a college environment. But most are happy and have interests outside of academics. People at Middlebury know how to have fun, make the most out of their naturally beautiful environment, and work hard. Middlebury students can best be described as balanced.

Thanks, sounds like a great place. I have lots of Midd alum friends and they're all pretty damn cool.
