Hard decision... physics MIT vs. Harvard vs. CalTech vs. Rice vs. UChicago vs. Harvey

But--Rice is the only school that has produced a PhD in physics who went on to quarterback an NFL championship team.

CALTECH. you'll love california.

Thanks for the help, everyone. I really appreciate it. I thought I'd let you all know that I decided to CalTech, for a number of reasons. First, I really feel sure about the astrophysics, and they really are the best there. I want really hard academics, but I'd still like a bit more support than MIT would provide, and I think CalTech's size would really help out. Plus, with my EFC, I would have to pay next to nothing at CalTech, and they've been really generous with grants-- probably because of my being a URM.

And of course, I've lived in Minnesota my entire life. I'm really ready for California weather!!!

Thank you again, everyone, for your help. CalTech, here I come!!!!!!!
