<p>You need to recall a bit of geometry to take the next step. The triangles RPT and RQS are “similar”. They have the same angles, and therefore their sides (including their height) have the same relative proportions – i.e. the small triangle’s sides are 1/2 of those of the large triangle, and the same for the heights.</p>
<p>If this isn’t obvious, you need to recall a simple theorem regarding the angles cut by the lines through the midpoints. Look this up.</p>

<p>For 4, I got C as the answer. Recall v=d/t. We know the time is 3 minutes, and we need to find the distance she travels. if she travels from the first marker, to n+1 marker, you will find by drawing a line with markers, that the distance is 66<em>n. Or you can think of it as (n+66)-66, since 1 marker is 66 meters from the last. Since t=3, d/t=66</em>n/3=22n. which is C. Someone feel free to correct if im wrong</p>
<p>I’m pretty sure #1 is A) 40. The area of the floor needed to be covered is 360 in.^2 and the are of the piece of tile is 9. Then 360/9=40. I don’t understand how you got 200…</p>
