I thought that the third movie was the absolute worst - it strayed the furthest from the books and left out the most information of all of them. I loved Order of the Phoenix and though Yates did a good job of getting as much from the mammoth book into a single movie as possible. HBP wasn’t bad; a little too light hearted and lacking in action (but then again… so was the book, in a good way). I though the first and second weren’t bad but had a lot more potential. I can barely remember the fourth movie, I suppose it wasn’t bad. Yates is by far my favorite. I think the split is a little early as well - it is true that a lot of the book is just Harry thinking, but the second one is going to be jam packed with action and the first half is going to be kind of empty.

I’m freaking PUMPED

So, so, so, so excited! I’m a total Harry Potter obsessed freak and can’t wait!
But don’t you think this is a tad bit too far? The split is going to be after Dobby’s funeral (unless they leave that for the next one and have Voldemort gaining possession of the wand before, unlike the book) then. That only leaves Gringotts and The Battle of Hogwarts as the core components of the second part. Isn’t that too… little for an entire movie?

^Nah, read my previous posts as to why.

As far a the books go, I think I liked #4 the most, but #3 was the best book. followed by #6.

I think the split point is perfect— It’ll leave enough time for the climax at the end while also keep enough of the actions in the first part of the movie…

Can’t wait :]!
