@gibby I had never thought of it that way. It makes a lot of sense. Thank you!
best case scenario there are more calls to be made tomorrow. Next case, near the end of may, and then June. And worst case, all the calls were made today. I donât think that is the case though.
The article specified that first round waitlist decisions were made, so depending on who says yes and no to this round there should definitely be more calls in the future
thank you so much! trying not to get my hopes up
@slothqueen BEST OF LUCK!!
THANK YOU!
My other theory (although super unlikely) is that if itâs the regional admissions officers who make the call to students, then maybe since they finished make decisions on the waitlist so late they were given the option to either call their region tonight or just wait to call tomorrow morning. Although again, this is super unlikely and I think Iâm just coming up with ways that I could possibly get a call tomorrow lol
@smythe Along with us all.
Anybody get in from the south?
Excited to get that rejection email tomorrow
JUST GOT ANOTHER PHONE CALL, I GOT IN!!!
congrats @slothqueen !!! If you donât mind me asking, did your portal update or anything else indicating admittance?
I think admissions calls and waitlist releases will be going out in waves⊠hoping that by the end of this week we get some closure
no portal update, but i got an email
Slothqueen, I guess youâre a cali girl. Do you mind telling us your race (/legacy?) and/or some stats?
Should we be sending in our latest grades to Harvard, or are out grades (as long as theyâre not slipping) irrelevant?
i am asian/no legacy/stats are not extraordinary
I got my waitlist call today as well. thanks @gibby and everyone else on this forum for giving such good advice about what to expect!
Hey @gibby - Just tried to find the info on the website, but didnât see it. Last year when D was on list, we just googled Harvard admissions and the region we lived in and were directed to the right person, but cannot seem to find it tonight. Sorry
@Gibby - San Diego = XX and s/he is lovely
MODERATORâS NOTE:
Edited out name. If Harvard wanted the world to have access to it, they would post it. Additionally, there is no guarantee that an AO that had a region LY will have the same region TY.
