My waitlist tab was gone but now it’s back. Portal looks like it did before.
H said that it is the first year that they are using this new platform, so it might just be an innocuous glitch not indicative of anything
The same… disappeared then reappeared. I think Harvard realized that the disappearance of the wait list status for people made them anxious so they decided to return it back haha.
Same here. I checked this thread, which prompted me to check my H portal and waitlist status was gone. I have just checked again, and it’s back. So what are you guys thinking? Glitch? Then why did it not happen to everyone?
Edit: I had mistakenly written back instead of gone in the second sentence.
I think this was just a glitch and we should not think too much into unless someone receives news
Hopefully we don’t all get rejected at 7…
Three hours to go ladies and gentlemen…
Follow up: why are we saying 7 pm again?
Are we thinking it was a glitch today unrelated to decisions? Or will we be actually getting decisions today?
That’s when everyone who got the “glitch” last year was rejected.
@staylor1490 I think last year, the portal changed like it did earlier today, but it never got changed back like today. It’s possible that it actually just was a “glitch today,” but we’ll just have to wait and see.
I hope you’re right! I would feel though, that a glitch would affect everyone, not just most of us.
I thought it was 5pm est? http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-university/2134453-harvard-class-of-2023-waitlisted-discussion-p18.html
But then again, we never know because things are obviously different this year.
No update here in MD and it’s 5 pm EST.
Same- no update here either.
I’m from MD too! Nothing yet either.
Same here no updates
Nothing here. Maybe wait until 7pm or maybe nothing today and we’ll have to wait until after Memorial Day
I asked my Harvard interviewer if he new anything about the waitlist tab disappearing and decisions going out. He told we he would ask and get back to me his answer was “This two things my only share one thing in common: they may have nothing to do with each other”
I honestly don’t think decisions will come out today. Probably closer to the end of the month 26,27,28
Gosh I’m getting really anxious. I’m hoping for the best but prepared for the worst. Either way I’m going to Boston for College. Best wishes to y’all !! Remember college is not the end goal but rather a stepping stone. It does not matter if you step on a gold brick (Harvard) or your average rock (Regular College) as long as you have the dedication and will to push forward you will climb up in the ladder regardless of where you previously stepped.
I immigrated to the U.S from Venezuela just 4 years ago, and just like most of you I worked really hard throughout high school. Some of us will get rejected others will get accepted. Regardless in which category you fall you should be proud. Not just for making it to the Harvard Waiting List - arguably the hardest school to get in in the world- but because you are going to college. In my home country, most kids don’t eat 3 times a day. Most of the population does not even have access to good internet and the education is terrible there is no infrastructure funding for research etc. There are millions of parent around the world like mine that literally give up their lives, taking extremely physically demanding jobs so their children can have an opportunity like the one you are having. Feel proud for your accomplishment and make the the best wherever you go. " Is not the house that makes the home but the people that live on it. It’s not about where you go but what you decide to wherever you go.
