Hi everyone! Here’s what I’ve got (I applied early):

GPA: 3.9 unweighted, all honors courses (our school offers very few APs)
SAT: 1550 (math 800, RW 750, essay 23)
Subject tests: Math II 800, Physics 760, Bio M 800
APs: Bio 4, Lit 4
School: Prep school that sends about 10 kids out of 120 to Harvard every year (including regular and recruits)
Hooks: Parent is a faculty member (professor) and graduate
Recs: both really good, also guidance counselor knows me really well so probably a really good GC rec
Essays: guidance counselor really liked it, said it was one of her favorites, so i guess pretty good

ECs:
research

  • first time was independent at lab, wrote research paper afterwards which was accepted to be published in a journal, then i was accepted as seimens semifinalist for it
  • next during summer paid internship program, wrote abstract and poster after 2 months of work
    volunteer work hospital translating
    been playing violin at local orchestra for 9 years
    president of school music volunteer program
    french club president
    environment club president
    tutor for school tutor program
    admissions tour guide for school (one of the leaders)
    school magazine senior editor (not newspaper)

Assuming they’re referring to the fact that he is a faculty member, which boosts your chances, as you’ve learned from an earlier thread:

Why are you bumping after a day? You’ll find out the real answer in a few weeks. Nobody here is going to know anything different.

Tbh, you are probably in, as you are qualified with test scores and grades, your father also went there and you are going to a top prep school.
