has anyone heard of the rumors about the Stanford application portal, where moments before the decision comes out, the “edit addresses” link disappears depending if you got rejected or not. does this ever happen with Harvard?
So is Dec 17 the day? What percent chance is it Thursday do you guys think?
I say it’s most likely Thursday. That seems to be the online consensus.
Well, based on my complete lack of experience, I would put it at about a 75% chance that it is Thursday. They always do it on Thursday.
It would have 50-50 chance. Either on Tuesday or Thursday…
Guys I have a question, I have got a request for admission officer Interview by a university (not ivy). How is it different from traditional alumni interview? Any idea guys?
It’s an urban legend. Correlation does not imply causation.
If decisions were to come out on the 15th, wouldn’t Harvard have notified us given that today is the 14th?
One would think that’s the case, but since they haven’t so far my money’s on the 17th. It’s possible they could tell us tomorrow morning that they’re releasing decisions tomorrow evening though.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Do you know if Harvard usually sends out notifications of announces the decision dates before hand?
I think the trend is that they release decisions on Tuesdays or Thursdays, and also that they usually announce it 2-3 days beforehand on their admissions website and/or Twitter and/or by email.
Hi guys!
So, what if someone applied RED to harvard and Cornell, but he withdrew the Cornell one today!
What may that result in?
You should probably be fine, even though they’ve likely come to a decision on both of your applications (I’m sure @skieurope can give you a better answer). It was a good, ethical, and legal decision you made to retract one of the applications, and if you’re planning on applying Early Decision II anywhere I would recommend you triple-check the colleges’ policies.
That would be perfectly fine if that person has withdrawn his application a few days before decision date.
Yeah, so the date would be 17th
Do they release them at 7pm EST on the dot or anytime after?
Roughly 7 p.m. it may not be 7:00:00, but it’s close.
How is everyone feeling about decisions? Nervous? Excited? Hopeful?
all of the above lol
dude, I’ve considered myself rejected haha
