I did Oxford PPE. I botched my interviews, so I don’t think I have a great chance.
Columbia, Yale, UCLA, UCSB, and NYU. I have more but those are the main schools I’m focusing on if I get deferred or rejected from Harvard.
I’m looking at Columbia and Yale too! Might see you in those threads later haha
UCHICAGO, NOTRE DAME, NYU and COLUMBIA.
great choices! hopefully you get an acceptance letter from the one you like the most
You too we’ll all end up where we’re meant to be!
Thank you so much. I love HARVARD, YALE AND UCHICAGO but botched up REAs mean a rejection in ivies so looking for UCHICAGO …
Stanford, Yale, Princeton, MIT, Macalester and UNC-Chapel Hill for Regular Decision, also thinking to apply to 2 more schools
Princeton, Yale, Stanford, Johns Hopkins, and UPenn
I’ve already answered this. No, it’s not usual for an admissions officer to contact a school guidance counselor. But no, it’s not bad-- it’s probably good.
They wouldn’t want to talk to your counselor unless they were interested and wanted more information. If they were going to reject you, they just would have rejected you and not wasted their time contacting your school.
However, the call could have been for something as simple as an administrative thing, too. It could mean nothing.
But it’s definitely not bad.
Before anyone else freaks out, though, it means nothing if the AdCom did not contact your counselor. They rarely do, either for those accepted or rejected.
I was accepted and the AdCom never contacted my school’s guidance counselor.
Well, I applied to UGA (acceptance with honors and full presidential waiver/scholarship), Radford (Honors and scholarship decisions are set to come out this week), Regis ($128,000 scholarship over 4 years), UNC, GTech, VTech, UMass, UVA, UMich, UMiami, Purdue, Stony Brook, Ohio State, UWisconsin, ASU, and Penn State. These were all early actions (except Regis; I applied to it in May this year and heard back in September).
I also applied to 5 of the UCs and USC regular action. I’m also planning on applying to a few more in the RD round through the Coalition App (Carnegie Mellon, Harvey Mudd, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, UIllinois, Cornell, UPenn, BU, DAVIDSON!!, Northwestern, Columbia, Rice, and Duke).
It may seem like I’m applying to a lot of universities but I guess when you’re a 15 year-old international student, you just need to :((
Excellent list, I wish you the best of luck!
Thank you and I hope you get into your top choice college as well!
Just took my dog for a walk today - should I add that to my admissions file??? OMG so nervous!!!
wouldn’t be a bad idea
great list, tbh!
Same timeframe for me.
Hey all,
Has anyone gotten an actual email confirming decisions will be released the 17th?
It’s posted on the Harvard website
Ok cool. I saw it on there but I was freaking out cause I hadn’t gotten an email haha. Thanks!
