Cheaper to eat out in nearby Harvard or Porter squares three times a day, than to get a meal plan…
While potentially true, it’s a moot point as the meal plan is mandatory for undergrads, and it’s not like Harvard is giving students vouchers to eat locally.
Well, they should if the on campus eateries get shut down by strikes, don’t you think, @skieurope?
@doschicos If they were shut down, yes. However, as of this moment, only 3 dining halls will be closed as a result of the strike. The other 10 plus Hillel will be open extended hours, although I am quite sure that the menu selection will be quite limited. Everyone is pretty much stocked up on cereal and ramen.
Good preparation for the next Nor’easter. One needs to learn to stockpile.
