Hey, i am a graduate of Turkish Military Academy with BS in systems engineering and Bogazici university (best in Turkey) with BA in political science and international relations. This year, i will pursue MSc degree in European Studies at LSE focusing on common foreign and security policies of the EU. Afterwards, i wanna apply to the phd at department of government of Harvard. Do you think i have any chance to get in? thanks

Depending on the department’s reputation a bit. For example; industrial engineering, electricity engineering and physics departments very prestigious (Bogazici University), so it is a good advantage.

There’s absolutely no way for us to tell, definitely not from this post but also not in general. You didn’t provide any of your admissions information, and we don’t know who you will be competing with.

If you are asking if your degree from a Turkish university will impede your chances, they shouldn’t. Grad schools care more about what you did in undergrad and a MSc program than they care about where you went.

No GPA, no GRE, and no mention of research experience? Even though these data are but a small fraction of what’s truly taken into account (the luck factor comes from the letters of recommendation) by Harvard Kennedy, that’s a start.

Doing “chances” for grad school on this board can’t really be done, and in the case of the HKS PEG program, with a 5% acceptance rate, it is impossible.
