I am aware that U.S. Dual Citizens are counted as domestic applicants for admissions, but does the second (or third) citizenship(s) count toward Harvard’s international makeup statistics or do those stats exclusively count non-U.S. citizens?
To the best of my knowledge, Harvard hasn’t published how those statistics are compiled and if the second (or third) citizenship of an applicant is included. The best way to find an answer to that question is to call Harvard’s International Office and ask them: Phone: 617-495-2789
HIO response: “Our office does not consider an international student anyone with a US Passport, regardless of how many additional passports the student might have. In other words, US dual (or multiple) citizens, are considered US citizens for the immigration purposes of our office, and therefore not included in any of our statistics.”
