Hi all, I am currently a high school senior who will be off to college in a couple of months. My ultimate goal is to become a surgeon. Going to college is now the ultimate test that will define graduate school for me. I my heart set on going to Harvard Medical School (really like the school, fam lives nearby, etc…) However, I also want to get an MBA as well. Lots of medical professionals out there are a getting a second degree which has many benefits (many CEOs of pharm. companies have them). I understand that do this you have to apply to both programs separately and get acceptance from both in order to do a join program. My question is, is there anyone out there who could give me advice on how to achieve my goal. And before people start saying “oh it is way too early to think about that” or “that’s impossible you can’t do that”, I want to get real advice that can help me utilize my undergrad experience in the best way. Obviously I understand this dream is ambitious, but there is no harm in having goals.
Thanks!
