The Harvard/New England Conservatory program is VERY selective. Study hard! Practice hard! I know some Harvard grads who did their masters and dma's at New England Conservatory. Heavy intensity! The joint program sounds like it will be amazing.

i am definitely applying for this. anyone else?

it sounds great, i just don't have the music EC's.
(i've played violin for 13 yrs, but never did anything like joining a symphony or composing a lot of music...)

tawny, have you just done solo stuff? What about chamber music? I'm just curious because orchestra has been a big part of my musical life.

just solo stuff, local performances basically.
after i entered high school violin took a backseat to my theatre/film/writing interests...(i was in orchestra for a week, no one in class knew how to play and the teacher ignored us...so i just dropped it)

it kinda sucks b/c it's only NOW that i'm realizing i can do so much with it...well, hindsight is 20/20...
