<p>I read the article, and I do not think those visits are really used to scout talent at all. I attended one of these visits last year, and it's more of an information session than anything else. There was a Q&A session after, but I don't think it is a talent scouting program...</p>
<p>Unless someone can show me otherwise (I'd be happily corrected)...</p>
<p>^ agreed. At least, the Exploring College Options one was just a Q&A session. Not sure about this one.</p>

<p>Thanks tokenadult, but I guess I don't see the connection between the presentation and the talent scouting. Also, it sucks for us ignorant tweeners (the ones who are middle class and whose school was completely ignorant and absent of all math/science competitions that are worthwhile :( No biggie, we make do with what we got :) )</p>
